His ever-growing passion for music, video games, and collaboration has led him to scoring, orchestrating, music editing, and sound designing for award-winning short films, commercials, video games, and digital ads. In 2016, Chris earned a Bachelor of Music in Theory and Composition from California State University – Sacramento, where he was fortunate enough to study with the Pulitzer Prize-nominated Leo Eylar, Dr. Stephen Blumberg, and piano performance with Richard Cionco. In 2018, Chris went on to receive a Master’s degree in Scoring for Film, Television, and Video Games from Berklee College of Music, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He later went on to study with Dr. Richard Baitz in the Julliard “Scoring to Picture” course in 2020, and was a VIFF Amp 2023 Music Cohort recipient for composition. Chris’ composition career has lead him to compose the score for films that have won awards such as “Best Sci-Fi Film” from the Hollywood International Moving Pictures Film Festival, “Best Short Film” from WorldFest Houston, “Best Animated Short” from the San Antonio Film Festival, a nomination for “Best Film Score” at Los Angeles Cinefest, and many more. Chris’ love for music runs deep, and he relishes the opportunity to use his gifts and talents to see lives changed for the better through the power of stories that reach people.
